Our skin goes through so much within 24 hours. The weather and the elements, city life and pollution, our diets and makeup. I know I’m definitely guilty of putting my skin through a lot, i eat too much sugar, i don’t drink enough water and i spend way to much time in the polluted air. In todays post i am going to share with you how we can take simple steps in our skin care routine to improve and combat the harmful effects of everything what our skin has to go through.
Clinique have cleverly formulated a range to help combat the harmful effects of city living/pollution. I have been using all the products listed below as my skincare routine for roughly 2 weeks now and my skin is already starting to feel the improvement (obviously no skincare improvement in instant so for the full effect i will continue to use the products on a daily basis to see better results!):
Clinique City Block Charcoal Cleansing Gel 150ml – Perfect for all skin types the Clinique City Block Charcoal Cleansing Gel is specially formulated to combat the negative effects of toxic city living! The transparent black cleanser lathers up well into a foam leaving skin feeling super clean, soft and refreshed. The natural charcoal helps draw out impurities and excess oil from deep within pores without stripping your skin of essential moisture! I use this daily to take off my makeup and draw out any impurities my skin has built up throughout the day.
Clinique City Block Oil Free Daily Face Protector – SPF is something we should all use on a daily basis, the Clinique City Block Oil Free Daily Face Protector with an SPF of 25 is perfect for using underneath your foundation as a primer or just as a stand alone daily sun protector. It has a lightweight formula and it also helps to absorb excess oil and perspiration – WIN! I just pop this on daily in the morning.
Clinique City Block Charcoal Mask and Scrub 100ml – I love a good face mask and the Clinique City Block Charcoal Mask and Scrub is such a simple step to add into your skin care routine. Its a duel action mask so all you need to do is apply generously for 5 minutes until the grey mask turns into a light blue colour and voila its worked its magic. The natural bamboo charcoal and kaolin clay help cleanse your skin of all pollutants and impurities while the natural silica beads gently refine skin texture. I have been using this 1-2 times a week and have been loving how quick and simple it is to slot into my evening!
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion – Suitable for dry & dry/combination skin types. The lightweight, quick- absorbing Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion quenches skin’s thirst while also strengthening the skins natural barrier to skin essential moisture locked in for day long hydration while also balancing moisture levels for a healthier looking complexion! I have been looking for so long for a moisturiser which actually works on my extremely dry skin and my prayers have been answered!
Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly – Similar to the moisturising lotion mentioned above, the Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly is an oil free, non sticky, lightweight quick absorbing moisturiser which helps support and strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier, whilst also defending against the damaging effects of pollution. It has a water-jelly formula which i absolutely love, it leaves my skin feeling super hydrated, refreshed and gives my skin a glow i didn’t know existed!
Since using the Anti Pollution Skincare, my skin has felt the healthiest it has in the longest time. It is smoother, more hydrated and has a glow i’m living for! I can not wait to continue my skincare journey with Clinique if i am seeing these results after 2 weeks of the skincare the best is clearly yet to come! Before i embarked on this skincare journey my skin was dull, drained and full of spots which made me feel super self conscious when it came to makeup free days but lately i am feeling much more confident in my own skin!
