Benefit Cosmetics have been a constant staple in my makeup bag since i was an early teen, I don’t think i could ever live without Gimme Brow and if i didn’t have my Benefit blushes, well i don’t know what i would do! So when i saw Benefit teasing their latest launch obviously it caught my attention. Their latest launch is the Benefit Bad Gal Bang Mascara* which claims to give you full-blast volume!
Said to give 36 hour, full blast volume without weighing down lashes, a gravity-defying formula which contains aero-particles one of the lightest known materials delivered from space technology. On first impressions the formula is pitch black but i found it to be quite wet and found the Benefit Bad Gal Bang Mascara hard to get along with as an everyday mascara. It clumps really easily and i can’t layer the mascara like it claims you can for bigger volume without my lashes sticking together and getting really clumpy. Although I’ve stuck at it and i did find a way to make this mascara work for me, i noticed that if you hold the mascara wand out of the tube for a few minutes and let it dry out slightly before use the mascara works SO MUCH BETTER! This way, it didn’t clump and made my lashes look super long and voluminous! Now the wand shape, i do really enjoy it especially for my bottom lashes it just totally works for them. I can really get each and every lash, making them appear so much fuller and longer.
So if like me you have tried this mascara and wasn’t all too thrilled, maybe try holding it out the tube before use, let it dry out slightly and give it another whirl. I really couldn’t get along with it at first but since i’ve been using it in this way i have really been enjoying it. I love the wand shape and the intense, pitch black colour is perfect! I do find it still does smudge and flake through out the day but most mascara’s do on me as i tend to have a habit of rubbing my eyes. Benefit Bad Gal Bang Mascara retails at £21.50 and can be purchased from all Benefit stockist.
