Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask Review

Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask Review Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask ReviewI was rather impulsive the other day, well quite a long while ago now. I saw an advert i can’t remember where i think it was Instagram but i saw an advert for the Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask i instantly asked on twitter if anyone had used it, does it work? no one answered with’in 5 minutes so i purchased it anyway! – Over past year I’ve started to suffer with (for me) quite bad acne which doesn’t want to shift. I’ve tried all sorts so when i saw this i thought it was worth a shot to see if i could get my skin under control.

The Science

Light therapy uses the energy from red and blue LED lights, it gently filters through the skin and has been scientifically shown to target acne-causing bacteria – therefore reducing the appearance of breakouts! When you reduce the acne causing bacteria, you reduce the breakouts!

My Thoughts

So my first impressions, well the mask reminds me of Jason from Friday the 13th! You all know what i mean right? It’s quite simple to use you just start by washing your face, plug in the activator remote, pop the mask on like you would a pair of glasses, press and hold the power button on the activator remote until the mask lights up and sit back and relax for 10 minutes while the mask does it’s thing, once the 10 minutes are up the mask will automatically switch off. I found it can get rather hot under the mask due to you having to breathe under there and it being plastic but i kind of expected that and it isn’t unbearable. The lights are quite bright so i like to sit with my eyes shut rather than have them open (even though it does say that you can have them open during the treatment) so you could read a book, watch tv or surf the web… i personally just find it much more comfortable to just sit back and relax with my eyes closed.

Does it work?

It does actually work. My skin was much clearer (is that even a word) when using the Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask so much so that I’ve repurchased the refill activator remote so that i can continue on with the treatment. The 10 minute sessions are easy to fit into your daily routine and i have to admit the number of breakouts i have, have really decreased so i find the Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask to be a really effective treatment for me. The Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask Retails at £59.99 it comes with one remote with 30 treatments and the refill activator remote retailing at £20 both are currently on offer at Boots so if you fancy trying this treatment now is the time!

What are your thoughts on light therapy? would you try the Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask ?
