I feel like these little drops are the answers to all my prayers! The Body Shop Shade Adjusting Drops come in 2 shades a lightening shade and a darkening shade, i only managed to pick up the lightening shade which was the one i most wanted so it’s all good. Anyway, we’ve all been there at some point in our lives shopping for foundation mainly in boots, we think we’ve found the perfect shade, i mean you do the best you can testing on the back of your hand, then when you get home, all excited to try your new foundation for the first time and it’s way too dark! DAMN!
The Body Shop Shade Adjusting Drops help you customise the colour of your foundation, I own quite a few foundations which i love but are way to dark/orange toned for me. Sometimes i even sit and think what on earth was i thinking when i bought that shade? but these lightening drops make it so i can wear all those foundations which are just sitting in my draw again! It comes in a glass bottle with a dropper incorporated into the lid, the lightening drops are almost white with a slight hint of a pink undertone, this makes them perfect if you find foundations to be too yellow toned for your skin tone. All you need to do is add a couple of drops to your foundation on the back of your hand and mix until you get your desired foundation shade. The only downside I did find was that the dropper didn’t work that well, the lightener is quite thick and gloopy so it doesn’t exactly give you perfect little droplets of lightener, often it blows bubbles which can make it quite a messy job, another thing which i don’t particularly like is the smell, the smell is very perfumed and strong but both are worth putting up with for the end results.
Overall, if you’re a MUA or like me a pale person who struggles to get a foundation which matches perfectly The Body Shop Shade Adjusting Drops are a game changer! The drops don’t change the consistency of the foundation you use them with, they just lighten foundation creating your very own custom shade. The only thing which needs a rethink is the dropper system as it really doesn’t work.
