When it comes to mascara’s i just adore drugstore ones, although i don’t think I’ve found ‘the one’ yet. I recently picked the the new Maybelline The Falsies Push up The Drama Mascara which I’ve been testing out for a couple of weeks now and i’m going share how me and my stubby straight lashes got on with it.
The first thing i thought was how pretty the packaging is, a hot pink metallic tube which at first i thought it was a double ended mascara but it’s not, i did actually try, so hopefully ill save you that embarrassment. On to what’s inside, I have quite straight, short lashes which at the minute never look good, they always manage to look lacklustre, so anything which can give my lashes an exaggerated pushed up effect without the use of false lashes will be greatly appreciated. The Maybelline The Falsies Push up The Drama Mascara wand is one of those plastic ones with the bristles spaced quite far apart to create a U shape, it’s the U shaped cups on the wand which is supposed to push up your lashes as you comb through them. I really liked the wand and found it to be very similar to the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara wand, it just wasn’t curved. The formula of the mascara is very wet, so thats where i was alittle disappointed, i do find wet formula’s can weigh my little lashes down plus you have to watch out that you don’t transfer the product onto your eyelids. So how did i get on, as always i started off by curling my lashes, the wand is really good i did find it pushed up my lashes and spaced them out well. The only problem for me was the wet formula after a few hours my lashes did seem to get weighted down and look really straight which is sad.
Overall, Yes i liked it and i will continue to use it but i still don’t think I’ve found my holygrail mascara! The formula just doesn’t seem work all that well for my lash type for the first couple of hours they look great but then they seem to just end up looking like the worlds straightest lashes, i do think if you have longer lashes this mascara will work wonderfully for you!
Have you tried the new Maybelline The Falsies Push up The Drama Mascara? What is your favourite mascara for straight lashes?
