I am a huge fan of Barry M nail polishes, so when i saw the new Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Polishes i was really excited to give them a try, although i have seen some rather mixed reviews! I am one which even if i see mixed review, if its a product which interests me i will give it ago, as something which may not work for you, might work perfectly for me!

So the idea behind these polishes are to give the look of salon gel nails which last for upto 10 days without the UV lamp or the added expense. The polishes work together you need to use a Barry M sunset polish along with the Sunset topcoat no other topcoat will work to give the effect. There are a total of 7 colours to choose from and they all come in a gorgeous rose gold topped bottles! So i decided to pick up three colours along with the topcoat, and all come with really witty names! I picked up I’ve Been Pinkin’ – A super barbie pink. Fuchsia Generation – A gorgeous Raspberry pink and The Way You Make Me Teal – A really pretty tropical sea teal colour.

In short the Barry M Daylight Curing Nail Polishes lasted a fabulous 7 days, there was general tip wear but it was a whole 7 days before the corners began to chip although i wouldn’t go crossing off your gel nail salon out of your contact list right away as i wouldn’t say they are quite as good as a salon manicure but to be honest i never really expected them to be. Although I am really impressed with the Daylight Curing polishes, they look amazing and the colours are gorgeous i just wish there was more but hopefully in the future there will be! The polishes are unbelievably glossy and shiny just like gel nails should be but after a few days that glossiness fades, Barry M’s new flat wider brush means the polish applies like a dream, so that gets a huge thumbs up from me! Barry M also state that there is no need for a base coat so i was a little worried that the darker colours would leave my nails stained when i came to remove but actually they was really easy to remove and left no stains!

What are your thoughts on the new Barry M nail polishes?
