Hello Everyone, while i’m away on holiday i thought it would be fun to ask a my fellow bloggers who i love to guest blog here on Through Chelsea’s Eyes. So today telling you all about how she’s fallen back in love with colour is the gorgeous; Bryony from Bryony Laura.
Falling Back in Love With Colour
Perhaps it’s down to the recent heatwave, but the past few weeks I’ve been pushing my regular, every-day neutral cosmetics to one side in reach of some serious colour. Nails, shadow, blush, it’s all going on, so allow me to share the 411 on my go-to products for when I’m feeling a little playful.
I think this may be my favourite of the bunch. Not only is it a rockin’ shadow (quelle surprise), but it looks pretty snazzy when worn on the lash line. The gel-cream formula means the product certainly lives up to its ‘tattoo’ name – pop this on and it will.not.budge. Whilst there are ten to choose from, Turquoise Forever is a gorgeous, sea blue shade with a hint of shimmer. It also happens to look ace on those with blue eyes. Metallic Pomegranate is next on my list, and for under a fiver, it’s something I’ll be picking up, stat.
Okay, so slightly pricier than the above, but the Hourglass blush palette is well worth a mention. Whilst all three shades are spot on for when it comes to adding a hint of flush to your cheeks, ‘mood exposure’ is a personal favourite. Very subtle, very glowy and very, very awesome.
Back to the drugstore and the more affordable side of things, we have one seriously gorgeous lip colour. Courtesy of Barry M. 151 Sunset is insanely bright when compared to the shades I ordinarily wear. However, in the summer months, and the times you’re wanting to spruce up your look with a single swipe, it’s perfect. An orange-coral, it’s very similar to Mac’s Vegas Volt – for a fraction of the price. Go buy.
Again with more Maybelline, 311 Pink Party Dress is everything I look for in a polish. Fast drying, fun and sparkle-tastic. If you dig your nails resembling the likes of a disco ball, you will luuuurve this bad boy.
So there we have it, my go-to, colour giving makeup treats. Do you have any recommendations for me to try? Will you be giving any of the above a whirl?
