Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Bronze – £32.50
At summer Adam went on holiday (without me) so obviously seeing as he would be visiting the duty free i asked him to be a #1 boyfriend and pick me up a little makeup treat! – its only fair seeing as i haven’t been to the airport in like FOREVER! (although i did have to add a quick edit and say i did actually get to attend an amazing beauty lock in event at the airport at the end of last month!) He came back with this Bobbi Brown shimmer brick with brush which is exclusive to World Duty free! So its safe to say he earned some brownie points!
As always I’ll start with the packaging its signature, sleek, black & simply finished off with Bobbi Brown written across the front. Inside the compact palette made up of 5 bars of shimmery colour ranging from light to dark which can be used individually as shadows or as i like to use it swirled together and applied as a highlighter/bronzer, i would describe the 5 colours as the lightest being a champagne gold, next a peachy copper, a metallic copper, rose gold bronze, and lastly a true bronze. The powder itself is soft, shimmery and only a couple of swipes with the brush does the trick to pick up enough product, the shades blend well together creating a pretty golden bronze shade which add’s a beautiful sun kissed glow to the cheeks. As i mentioned earlier each colour can be used individually for shadows, i particularly like the lightest shade as a highlight although that’s pretty much as far as i go with using the colours individually, I prefer to use them mixed together and sweep it along my cheeks creating a nice glowy finish.
Overall, the Bobbi Brown shimmer brick is a really nice product, plus it’s multipurpose which makes spending a lot of money on a product that little bit more satisfying. I just love the finish the simmer brick gives to a make up look there isn’t a day since i got this i haven’t used it! – it is specially nice in the winter months with everything feeling dull & drab it adds a nice golden glow to brighten things up!
