On Monday i travelled up to London for the Benefit event for their new products, which by now you have probably heard so much about, and if not you must be dying to know! So the event was all prison themed, which made it look really cool! There was time for us to have our mug shots taken, along with prison guards, jail cell bars and all the Benefit girls kitted out in orange jump suits, Benefit really went all out as always!
It’s really exciting when i get invited to events especially ones which are held in London the only downside is living so far away, so for a long train ride i needed some essentials, i got a boost which is my absolute favourite smoothie drink, they are so refreshing (if you haven’t tried one.. you must!) I also picked up a couple of magazines to keep me entertained until i arrive. I travelled down with Adam and we also bought some playing cards on the train and spent some of the journey playing cards !
The Venue was truly amazing, outside (which i stupidly didn’t get a picture of) was a crime scene! It was full of pink scene tape along with prison guards! Inside the theme continued, it was like a big jail cell, after we all posed for our mug shots we was led inside.
Yes there was prison beds!
So we sat down and listened how Benefit came up with their latest products and was taught all about ‘Evolution of Eyeliner’ We sat and listened to video’s of how the liner came into design right from the very beginning, how girls was sent and unbranded version of the liner and asked to test it out being as objective as possible as they couldn’t be swayed by being a fan of the brand. It’s crazy to think how much work and effort must go into coming up with, creating, designing and testing out a make up product. Benefit really do have the customer in their sights at all times through-out this whole process!
The big reveal showed Lisa and her inmates run out and show us just how easy it was to use and apply, it’s said to be so easy it can be applied one handed, we was also told it is best to apply while you eye is open as this way it gets closer to your lashes (i will be doing a full review on the liner so i don’t want to go into too much detail) all i will say is all the benebabes eyeliner looked absolutely amazing and after we was all given our own to try, the room went silent while we all give them ago, although i was too scared to attempt it on my eyes i did swatch it on my hands.
So are you excited about this launch? The Push up liner should be available June 28th, and lets not forget about the They’re Real Remover, this will also help to remove both this stubborn liner and the mascara which both are said to be super tough to get off! Keep your eyes open for my full reviews on both products :) – Thankyou so much to Benefit for inviting me!
