Today’s post is a tad out of my comfort zone, Its not often i write a totally focused lifestyle post but here goes, on Tuesday you probably know i made my way down London to attend the Laurens way launch event for the new darker than dark glam tan, you can read my blog post all about that here. But the day after me & Adam decided to spend the day being right old tourist, for some of you who read this blog you’ll probably that’s pretty strange, but for two people who have never been to London, we found it quite fun being little tourist for the day! We started our day off by making our way from our hotel to Buckingham Palace, with a little stop off trip to Hyde Park, obviously we had never been to London before so it was fun taking pictures of all the popular sights! We strolled through Hyde Park (obviously stopping to take a quick little photograph or two) I couldn’t actually believe how big it was! – trust me parks near me are only the size of a mere corner of Hyde Park! (agh don’t i sound touristy!) To be honest me and Adam considered hiring one of the cute little bikes you see hanging around but we couldn’t quite make out minds up so decided to stick to walking! We carried on walking round towards Buckingham Palace, and well i must admit the thing that i found most odd was the amount of people out running, its crazy! every way i turned there was a group of runners running away – it made me feel like i needed to buy a pair of running trainers! Buckingham Palace was just amazing to see in the flesh, i couldn’t believe how many people was there too, i somehow imagined it to be a little more quiet for some reason. Seeing as this is a Fashion blog i may as well go into detail and mention what i wore, i kept it casual and wore my Topshop denim coat, Topshop jumper, plain black leggings and black Ugg Boots, along with my new Michael Kors bag which i will introduce to to properly soon, so sorry but you’ll have to wait a little for that one!
Once finished looking and taking our pictures of Buckingham Palace, we hit the road again, Adam then found a cute American diner, called The Diner (how obvious) so we stopped for some lunch, unlike me, Adam is a huge foodie so he really was stuck for choice at the sight of the menu, finally deciding on a burger, filled with peppers, cheese, bacon and much more, along with some American style chips with some crazy cheesy/bacon sauce on top, As for me i kept it simple with some chips and bread (to make chip buttes!) For dessert we both shared a chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream – it was just delicious! By this time we decided we couldn’t go to London and not visit Harrods! So we made our way and spent the rest of our day in there, I bought myself some new make up which i will soon be sharing with you, and also bought my brother a Harrods pen form the gift shop as he wanted a present in a Harrods bag (you wouldn’t think he’s older than me!) We spend about 2 hours in Harrods and could of easily spend another 2 more! I don’t think we even covered half the shop!
We then started our 4 hour car journey home, i must admit i really enjoyed being a tourist for the day and i think Adam did too! This post feels completely different for me to right on here but i enjoyed my time in London and i wanted to share the pictures we took with you, so i hope my first completely none beauty/fashion related post turned out ok! :)
