Laura Mercier Secret Concealer – £18.50
My first review of 2014, and i have had this in my drafts for a while so please forgive me for taking so long in getting round to it, I took all the photographs and things back when i first got my canon 50mm lens how to use a fixed lens, let me tell you it can be tricky when your so used to a zoom lens! So i was still learning – anyhow on to the review my first ever Laura Mericer purchase was the infamous Silk Creme Foundation you can read my review here
and well since i first dipped my toe in Laura Mercier i have been hooked, and i have bought my fair share of products since and i am forever stalking the Laura Mercier counter now!
I thought i would share my feelings on the Secret Concealer, i bought it in a shade 2 which is just the perfect shade for my skin tone, it has a nice pinky undertone to it which makes it great for under eye circles and making you eyes look more awake, although i did find i needed a little bit of practise to kind of get the hang of using this concealer. It’s a very creamy, thick concealer so a little goes along way. i found that the key to making this concealer work perfect is to warm it up a little between your fingers before you use it, i makes it glide across the skin much more easily. I tend to apply this concealer by using my ring finger and dabbing it in, that way i have more control and i find it a little to thick to use with a concealer brush, although if i do decide i want to use a brush i use my real techniques detailer brush.
Overall, this is your perfect all round concealer good for hiding blemishes and good for concealing under eye circles what more can you want from a concealer? I also love the fact that it’s in a pot and doesn’t have an applicator, that allows for less germs and bacteria being held in the product like those concealers with the doe-foot applicator.
