Hey Everyone,

A while ago on twitter i won a competition, with escentual.com go on ill say it seeing as I’m thinking it inside… Woohoo! And well this was my fabulous prize, a gorgeous Dior lipstick, i have never tried a Dior lipstick before and as you may know from my last lipstick post on my first Chanel Lipstick, i said that i was going to venture out into different lipstick brands than the usual ones i buy, because well i did that time and i really enjoyed the results!
First things first the packaging, a gold mirrored tube and well it is quite bloody gorgeous but also an odd shape, not my favourite i must say, i do tend to like them more simple as it makes them easier to control when applying but its still rather eye catching. Dior Minuit is a bright fuchsia-red lipstick with blue undertones, it also has subtle shimmer particles which becomes more noticeable once applied to the lips. Now lets talk about the pigmentation, it’s just fantastic! just one swipe of this makes the colour totally opaque, which is the sort of lipstick i love plus it has great staying power, the sheen did wear off a little but the colour stayed strong for a good 5-6 hours! The formula is creamy, light and super pigmented, it doesn’t drag or pull on the lips which when you have dry lips like me is something what makes a great lipstick!
Overall, I think Dior Minuit is a good ‘all rounder’ lipstick, although I can’t help but feel i will get more wear out of this lipstick in the summer months but that’s just personal preference, it’s amazing for brightening up the dull winter months too!
Whats your favourite lipstick for winter?
