By now you should all know i love me some hair products! and if you follow me on twitter (chelseayates1) the last couple of months you will notice that i have been really interested in the macadamia natural oil hair range. They have such a wide range of products its really hard to choose from! so when i was asked if i would like to try some macadamia products i was over the moon – that eliminated me spending hours trying to decide. So I’m going to tell you about the Macadamia Control Hair Spray & the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque! First things first how pretty is the packaging on both these products? There’s something just natural and some what bohemian about it! Don’t you think? I also love how all the Macadamia products contain macadamia & argan oils (and a bunch more) products to help keep your hair from becoming dry, frazzled and damaged and with having colour treated hair this is something I take very seriously!
So after a couple of weeks of testing here’s my thoughts :)
Macadamia Control Spray
*Macadamia Control Spray, hair spray for me isn’t really an everyday product. I am quite lazy and try to leave my hair natural as much as possible and not use heat tools, so my hair sprays tend to last me months and months! but lately i have been wearing my hair with curls so i have been using this control spray to keep them in place and my gosh does it keep my curls put! My curls last the whole day – AMAZING. Macadamia claim that the spray is ‘fast drying without stickiness or build up‘ and it really is usually i can feel other hair sprays on my hair for hours later but within minutes of using the macadamia control spray my hair just felt as light and soft as normal! i really enjoyed the smell too, usually hairsprays have that nasty ‘hold your breath’ smell well this does not! It gives of a subtle sweet, macadamia smell! another thing i love about this hair spray was the shine it gave to my hair!
Overall this hair spray is a real winner for me, it left my hair feeling soft and weightless while still keeping all my curls in place for the whole night! plus you really do get a huge tube of hair spray so this will last me a very long time! the only slight sad point is the price, it is a tad expensive at £17.45 but i will re purchasing as its the only hair spray which was light and kept all my curls fully in tacked!
Macadamia Deep Repair Masque
*Macadamia Deep Repair Masque, My hair is naturally brown so to to become the blonde colour i am today i use bleach on my hair when dying it, bleach is not your hairs friend so this is why i love hair masks i actually cant get enough of them i love to come home run a bath and then relax with a nice hair mask, knowing that its helping to keep my hair from being dry, frizzy and damaged!!
My hair goes through stages. Sometimes it looks super healthy and others it looks so lifeless its not even worth being called hair. Its recommended that you use this treatment mask no more than twice a week, probably because of all the oils which it contains (macadamia and argan oils with tea tree oil, chamomile oil, aloe and algae extract) you wouldn’t want to over oil your hair now would you?
I like to use the macadamia deep repair masque as a weekly deep conditioning mask, it is recommended to leave on for 7 minutes but i choose to leave mine on for about 20-30 minutes as i only use it once a week and i really like to give my hair a deep, full conditioning. The formula is really thick in consistency that’s how i love my hair masks to be, and the smell is just gorgeous. I find myself stood smelling my own hair after I’ve used this treatment! (yes I’m that creepy lady that stands and smells her own hair! I usually do it anyway but i do it an awful lot after using this) I also love how soft, shiny, thick and healthy it leaves my hair feeling, I’ve received so many compliments on my hair since using this and i think its now safe to say this is now my new go to hair mask!
Have you tried any macadamia hair products ?
