My eye shadow collection isn’t all that great, well its near on non existent! So a couple of months back i wanted to dip my toe in the whole eye shadow business and i had no idea where to go, i mean i don’t even own the naked pallet.. I’m afraid to admit it but i don’t own any of them not even the cute basics one! (sorry guys please don’t hate me!)
so seeing as i was a ‘newbie’ someone who has no idea really when it comes to eye colours i wanted something which was easy to work with, something i could wear everyday and something which would be buildable as a base shadow for when i get hooked and end up buying myself tones and tones of eye colours, and that’s when i decided on the MAC paint pots!
The MAC paint pots are a little pot of creamy pigmented eye colours but when you apply them to your eyes their easy to work with because their a creamy formula but in a couple of minutes they completely dry with the full intense colour, its amazing and just what i needed to get myself started with shadows!
I opted for the colour Bare Study which is a beautiful sheer champagne/beige colour with gorgeous gold shimmer, perfect for day wear, that little extra something teamed with bold lip colours and of course use as a base shadow. The best thing about this little paint pot is just how long wearing they are.. they actually last all day!
Overall I’m really impressed with the MAC paint pots! for £14 I think you get alot of product, I’ve used mine loads and its still near on full! I think they’re so easy to work with and even though bare study isn’t all that noticeable by itself it was the perfect shadow for me to begin with, and now i can use it  as a base to build different looks! I love how long lasting they are and i think the next colour i will be ‘let’s skate’ that looks like the most gorgeous pale shimmery pink!
What do you think of the MAC paint pots?

  • I've been wanting to try these for a while! My eyelids get so oily & no primer I've tried as worked for me! Do you think these would work as an eyelid primer with a powder over it? Or is it more of an eyeshadow?

    xx
